Day Sky HDRI 059 a Rural Field Environment

This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map provides realistic midday lighting and reflections for exterior architectural visualisations. Captured in a flat, open rural landscape, this environment map features a bright, clear blue sky with scattered light cumulus clouds. The horizon line is low, emphasizing the expansive field terrain which includes patches of cultivated soil and grassy tracks. The lighting is consistent with a clear midday sun, providing sharp, defined shadows and natural highlights for 3D assets. The map includes a full 360-degree range of luminance, ensuring that both direct light sources and ambient sky reflections are accurately represented within any compatible rendering engine or digital workspace.

The download is a 10.4 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment or background slot of your rendering software. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source. Because the map contains high-dynamic-range data, it will automatically drive global illumination and material reflections, eliminating the need for manual light rigs. Ensure your project settings are configured to linear colour space for the most accurate results when using this environment map as your primary light source.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly for residential projects situated in rural or semi-rural contexts. It works well for site-specific renderings where a natural, open-field backdrop is required to ground the building. Professionals often use this asset during the concept and design development stages to quickly establish realistic daylighting conditions. It pairs effectively with grass, soil, and timber materials, providing a neutral yet authentic outdoor setting for landscape design presentations and exterior building studies.
