About this asset

This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map provides realistic midday clear sky lighting for architectural rendering software. This HDRI environment map captures a crisp, midday sky with scattered white clouds and a bright, clear sun position. The file provides a full 360-degree panoramic range, ensuring consistent illumination and high-quality reflections for 3D scenes. The dynamic range is balanced to support accurate light intensity in physical rendering engines, preventing overexposure while maintaining sharp shadows. The map includes a neutral horizon line, making it suitable for architectural visualisations where a clean, open sky background is required to support the primary subject matter without distracting environmental noise or complex urban silhouettes.

The download is a 5.6 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this map, load the file into the environment slot of your rendering engine's world or dome light settings. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's desired shadow direction. Since this map contains inherent lighting information, you can often achieve a complete render without additional light rigs. Ensure the gamma settings match your project's colour space to maintain the integrity of the highlights and mid-tones during the final render output.

Ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, this environment map is well-suited for residential, hospitality, and landscape projects requiring a bright, optimistic daytime aesthetic. It pairs effectively with modern building materials like glass, steel, and white concrete, where clean reflections and sharp, defined shadows are preferred. Professionals searching for naturalistic outdoor lighting, clear-sky conditions, or efficient exterior illumination will find this asset a reliable choice for achieving consistent, high-quality results during the concept development and final presentation stages of a project.
