About this asset

This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map provides realistic midday lighting and reflections from a clear-sky rural field scene. Captured in a wide-open agricultural landscape, this HDRI environment map features a vibrant blue sky with scattered light cumulus clouds. The scene captures a clear, direct sun position, casting distinct shadows and high-contrast highlights. The horizon line shows a mix of lush green grass and ploughed brown earth, providing natural colour balancing for reflective surfaces. The lighting data is consistent across the 360-degree sphere, ensuring that reflections in metallic, glass, or glossy materials remain coherent with the light source. It is delivered as a high-dynamic-range file, maintaining the necessary exposure range for professional rendering.

The download is a 9.4 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the file into your rendering engine's world or environment lighting slot. Adjust the rotation to align the sun's position with your architectural model's shadow requirements. For optimal results, use the HDRI as the primary light source to drive global illumination and reflections, ensuring that your scene materials are properly configured to react to the high-dynamic-range data. No additional light rigs are typically required for standard daylight exterior shots.

This environment map is suitable for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design projects, and rural residential developments. It works effectively for daytime scenes requiring bright, natural sunlight, such as garden designs or site-specific massing studies. Professionals often search for rural panoramas, sky domes, or field environments to provide context-aware lighting for their 3D models. It pairs well with vegetation assets and natural material palettes, offering a versatile backdrop for projects ranging from small-scale residential renovations to large-scale site masterplanning.
