About this asset

Day Sky HDRI 045 B is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map, providing natural midday lighting for architectural visualisations. This HDRI environment map features a clear, bright daytime sky with a high-positioned sun, delivering consistent and naturalistic global illumination. The capture includes a full 360-degree range, ensuring accurate light distribution and realistic reflections for metallic, glass, and matte surfaces. The image is balanced to provide a neutral colour temperature, preventing unwanted tinting in interior or exterior scenes. It is designed to function as the primary light source, eliminating the need for complex artificial lighting rigs while maintaining high contrast between light and shadow areas, which is essential for professional-grade architectural rendering.

The download is a 5.4 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this file into the environment slot of any major rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene camera and tweak the intensity multiplier to achieve the desired exposure levels. Because it is a high-dynamic-range map, it will automatically drive global illumination and reflections, ensuring that all materials in the scene react correctly to the ambient light and the specific sun position captured in the map.

This map is suitable for bright, open-plan residential projects, hospitality spaces with large glazing, and office interiors requiring a clean, daylight aesthetic. It works well in early-stage concept modelling where rapid, high-quality lighting is needed to communicate space and volume. Architects and visualisers searching for a balanced, neutral daylight environment will find this useful for exterior shots and bright, airy interior scenes that require a realistic, sun-drenched atmosphere without the complexity of setting up custom sky systems or multiple light sources.
