About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map provides realistic midday lighting and reflections for digital scenes, featuring a clear rural sky. Captured in a wide-open rural landscape, this HDRI environment map offers a balanced, natural lighting setup suitable for architectural visualisation. The sky is predominantly clear with soft, scattered clouds, providing a neutral daylight colour temperature that avoids harsh over-saturation. The panoramic capture ensures consistent illumination and high-fidelity reflections across 360 degrees, eliminating the need for complex artificial light rigs. It includes a ground plane with fields and patches of vegetation, which helps ground the lighting in a realistic context, making it ideal for exterior renders requiring authentic, soft-contrast daylight conditions.

The download is a 9.8 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the file into the primary environment slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene requirements and modify the exposure settings to achieve the desired brightness levels. Because this is a high-dynamic-range file, it will naturally drive both the diffuse illumination and the specular reflections of your scene materials, ensuring that light interaction remains physically accurate without additional tweaking.

This environment map is perfectly suited for exterior residential projects, landscape design visualisations, and site-context studies where a natural, midday rural atmosphere is required. It pairs effectively with grass, gravel, and timber materials, providing a neutral backdrop that does not interfere with the architectural form. Professionals will find it useful for quick, realistic lighting setups in early-stage design reviews or final presentation renders.
