About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map provides realistic midday countryside illumination with a clear blue sky for natural rendering. Captured in a rural setting, this 2K high-dynamic-range environment map features a wide-open field landscape under a bright, clear midday sky. The composition includes a dominant sun position providing crisp, directional lighting and distinct shadows. The panoramic capture ensures consistent ambient light and accurate reflections across the entire 360-degree sphere. By providing a singular, cohesive light source, the asset eliminates the need for complex artificial lighting rigs, ensuring that both diffuse illumination and specular highlights remain physically correct within any standard 3D rendering pipeline or real-time environment.

The download is an 8.9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To implement this map, load the file into the environment slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Adjust the rotation to align the sun with your project's desired orientation and use the exposure settings to balance the scene's brightness. Since the lighting and reflections are baked into a single high-dynamic-range file, ensure that your scene's primary light source is matched to the sun position visible in the map for maximum realism.

This environment is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations requiring bright, natural daylight conditions, such as rural housing projects, agricultural masterplans, or landscape design renderings. It works well when paired with grass, earth, and timber materials, providing a neutral yet vibrant backdrop that enhances the clarity of building forms. Professionals searching for a clean, sunny, and open-horizon lighting solution will find this asset effective for high-quality daytime exterior shots where consistent, predictable illumination is required across the entire site model.
