About this asset

This 2K high-dynamic-range environment map provides realistic daylight illumination and reflections for outdoor architectural scenes. Captured in a rural field setting, this environment map features a bright, clear midday sky with light wispy clouds and an open horizon line. The lighting provides a natural, soft directional cast suitable for exterior visualisations that require a neutral, bright daylight atmosphere. The map includes a full 360-degree range, ensuring that both the primary light source and the surrounding landscape reflections are accurately represented. It is designed to provide consistent, high-fidelity lighting data that maintains colour balance and contrast across complex architectural models, from residential projects to expansive landscape designs.

The download is a 9.6 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this 2K map into your renderer's environment or dome light slot to immediately establish global illumination and ambient reflections. Because the file is a high-dynamic-range image, it works effectively with physical camera settings to produce realistic exposure values without additional light rigs. Use the rotation parameters in your software to align the sun's position with your project's specific orientation, ensuring that shadows and highlights accurately reflect the intended time of day and site context.

Ideal for exterior architectural renders where a natural, open-air context is required, this environment map is particularly useful for site analysis, master planning, and residential landscape design. It pairs well with suburban or rural building typologies where an unobstructed horizon is appropriate. Professionals searching for natural daylighting, realistic sky backgrounds, or balanced outdoor lighting for site-specific visualisations will find this asset helpful for achieving a clean, professional finish in both early-stage massing studies and final high-quality presentation renderings.
