Day Sky HDRI 023 a

Day Sky HDRI 023 A is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map featuring a clear midday coastal road setting for realistic lighting. This 2K resolution HDRI environment map captures a bright, clear-sky day along a coastal road. The panorama includes a paved road surface, dry coastal grasses, and a distant shoreline, providing a natural, high-contrast lighting environment. The sun is positioned high in the sky, casting sharp, defined shadows and creating clean, bright highlights. The inclusion of chrome, matte grey, and blue reference spheres in the capture allows for precise verification of light intensity, colour temperature, and reflection accuracy, ensuring that the resulting render maintains physical consistency with the surrounding environment.

The download is a 9.2 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment or background slot of your preferred rendering engine. Once placed, rotate the map to align the sun position with your project's desired lighting angle. Because this is a high-dynamic-range image, it provides both the primary light source and the background reflections, eliminating the need for additional artificial light rigs in most exterior scenes. Adjust the exposure settings within your renderer to fine-tune the intensity and contrast of the sunlight.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly for coastal residential projects, infrastructure developments, or landscape design proposals. It works effectively for mid-day scenes where a crisp, clean aesthetic is required. Professionals often use this type of asset for automotive renders, site-context studies, or any project requiring realistic, consistent natural lighting and reflections. The clear sky and road setting provide a versatile backdrop that integrates well with various building typologies, from modern glass structures to rustic coastal dwellings.
