About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map provides realistic daylight illumination and reflections for rendering software with a clear blue sky. Captured at midday under a clear, bright sky, this 2K high-dynamic-range image provides a balanced lighting environment. It features a wide-angle perspective of an elevated outdoor plaza or viewpoint with distant urban landscape views. The map includes a full 360-degree range, ensuring consistent light distribution and realistic reflections for architectural visualization. The sharp sun position creates defined shadows, making it suitable for exterior scenes requiring natural daylight, while the neutral colour temperature of the sky ensures accurate material rendering across various surface types, from glass and metal to matte concrete and stone.

The download is a 9.3 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this file, load the HDRI into the environment or world lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene’s primary light source for consistent shadow direction. Because the file contains high-dynamic-range data, you can manipulate the exposure and gamma settings to fine-tune the intensity of the light and the contrast of the reflections without losing detail in the highlight areas of your 3D model.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, urban design projects, and landscape concept renders. It works effectively for scenes requiring a bright, optimistic daylight aesthetic, such as residential developments, public plazas, or park design proposals. Professionals often pair this with ground-plane geometry to ground the model within the spherical projection. Use this in early design stages for quick lighting studies or final presentation renders where a clear, sunny atmosphere is required to emphasize site context and material clarity.
