Day Sky HDRI 005 B

Day Sky HDRI 005 B is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing realistic daylight illumination for 3D architectural scenes. This 2K resolution environment map captures a bright, clear midday sky with sparse cloud formations. The high-dynamic-range capture ensures accurate light intensity and colour temperature, providing a naturalistic light source for physically based rendering engines. The map includes a clear sun position, creating sharp shadows and distinct highlights when applied to a 3D scene. The spherical projection provides a seamless 360-degree background and light source, ensuring that reflections on metallic or glossy surfaces remain consistent with the overall lighting environment. It is optimized for efficient performance while maintaining high-quality illumination data.

The download is a 5.6 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment or background slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the exposure or intensity multiplier to suit your scene requirements. Since the lighting and reflections are baked into the map, ensure your camera exposure settings are calibrated to capture the full range of the sky's brightness. This map can be rotated to align the sun position with your architectural site plan, providing consistent lighting and shadow orientation.

This environment map is suitable for architectural visualisations requiring crisp, natural daylight. It is ideal for exterior renderings of residential and commercial projects, as well as interior shots where natural light entering through windows needs to be simulated accurately. Professionals use this asset to establish a base lighting condition that pairs well with neutral palettes and modern materials. It is particularly effective for daytime scenes, providing a clean, bright, and professional look that enhances the realism of glass, steel, and concrete surfaces.
