About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map provides realistic midday daylight and reflections for architectural visualization and rendering. This high-dynamic-range environment map captures a bright, clear midday sky over a rural landscape. The scene features a paved road winding through fields with dry grass, scattered trees, and a distant residential cluster. The lighting is crisp and natural, casting distinct shadows typical of a sunny day. Included in the capture are standard reference spheres—chrome, neutral grey, and blue—allowing for accurate calibration of reflections and light intensity. The 360-degree panoramic coverage ensures consistent environmental lighting for any 3D scene, providing a coherent base for global illumination and realistic surface reflections.

The download is a 9.9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your rendering engine’s world lighting settings. Because it is a high-dynamic-range image, it will provide both the primary light source and the background reflections. Adjust the exposure and rotation values within your software to align the sun position with your model’s orientation. This map eliminates the need for complex artificial light rigs, as it delivers natural light distribution and shadow softness directly from the source.

This environment is ideal for exterior architectural visualizations, particularly for rural housing developments, landscape design projects, or infrastructure schemes involving roads and fields. It pairs well with daylight-focused renders where a bright, clear-sky aesthetic is required. Professionals searching for naturalistic outdoor lighting, rural site context, or high-quality background plates for site integration will find this asset useful. It is best applied during the development or final presentation stages of a project to ensure consistent environmental lighting and realistic material response.
