About this asset

Day Environment HDRI 100 is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map, providing realistic outdoor daylight and reflections for 3D scenes. This 2K resolution environment map captures a daytime scene in a public park, featuring a central water fountain surrounded by mature trees and residential apartment buildings. The lighting is characteristic of a bright, partly cloudy day, offering soft, natural shadows and balanced illumination. The inclusion of reference spheres—chrome, matte grey, and blue—allows for precise calibration of reflections and light intensity within a 3D environment. This map ensures that the global illumination and specular highlights in a render remain consistent with the captured photographic surroundings, providing a cohesive look for architectural exterior visualisations.

The download is an 11.3 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilise this map, load the file into the environment or world lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source, and scale the intensity to match your desired exposure levels. Because the map contains both lighting and reflection data, it eliminates the need for complex manual light rigs, providing an immediate, physically accurate base for lighting exterior scenes in standard 3D software packages.

This HDRI is ideal for architectural exterior visualisations, landscape design projects, and urban planning presentations where a natural, contextual setting is required. It pairs effectively with residential building models, park furniture, and public realm elements. Professionals seeking to achieve realistic daylighting for mid-morning or afternoon scenes will find this asset versatile for various project stages, from initial concept renders to final marketing imagery. It is particularly useful for projects requiring a realistic urban park backdrop that seamlessly integrates with built form.
