Day Environment HDRI 089 Urban Street

This 2K HDRI environment map provides realistic midday lighting and reflections for architectural scenes using a clear sky urban street. This high-dynamic-range image captures a bright, clear midday setting within an urban town square. The environment features traditional European-style architecture with multi-coloured facades, paved street surfaces, and mature trees providing soft shadows. The lighting profile is neutral and balanced, typical of a sunny afternoon, which ensures consistent illumination across architectural models. Included reference spheres—chrome, matte white, and glossy blue—demonstrate the map's capacity for accurate reflection, diffuse light distribution, and specular highlights. The file is calibrated to provide a comprehensive 360-degree light source, ensuring that shadows and reflections align seamlessly within a rendered environment.

The download is a 9.6 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To implement this asset, load the file into the environment or world lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your model's orientation, ensuring that shadows cast by your geometry match the source's natural light direction. Because this is a high-dynamic-range map, it will automatically handle global illumination, providing both primary light and ambient reflections. No additional light rigs are strictly necessary, though you may add a directional light for sharper shadow control if required.
