About this asset

This Day Environment HDRI 065 provides a 2K resolution panoramic map for realistic outdoor lighting and reflections in 3D renders. Captured at a lakeshore, this high-dynamic-range environment map delivers a bright, clear-sky midday illumination profile. The scene features a gravel beach shoreline, dense peripheral vegetation, and a wide expanse of water with distant boat moorings. It provides a natural, balanced light distribution suitable for exterior architectural visualisation. The inclusion of chrome, matte grey, and glossy blue reference spheres confirms accurate light intensity and reflection data, ensuring that metallic and glass surfaces within a 3D scene react realistically to the environment's luminance and colour temperature during rendering processes.

The download is a 10 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To implement this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. It functions as the primary light source, eliminating the need for additional artificial sun setups. Adjust the rotation to align the sun's position with your architectural model's orientation. Ensure the gamma settings match your render pipeline to maintain the integrity of the high-dynamic-range data for both direct illumination and secondary reflections on reflective materials.

This environment map is ideal for exterior residential or hospitality projects situated near water or in open, natural settings. It is particularly effective for daytime renders requiring soft, natural shadows and consistent, realistic reflections on building glazing or facade materials. Professionals often search for this type of asset when needing a quick, high-quality solution for site-specific lighting without the complexity of building a custom light rig. It pairs well with landscape-heavy scenes, waterfront developments, and leisure-focused architectural concepts requiring a bright, airy atmosphere.
