About this asset

Day Environment HDRI 059 is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing realistic daylight illumination for 3D renderings. This HDRI environment map captures a bright, clear-sky day from the deck of a boat. The scene features a high-sun position, resulting in crisp, directional lighting and sharp shadows typical of midday. The capture includes a full 360-degree spherical projection, ensuring consistent reflections and ambient light across a rendered scene. The environment provides a neutral daylight colour temperature, ideal for testing materials and lighting setups in a wide variety of architectural or product visualization projects. It includes a clear horizon line and open water, providing a natural background for exterior or maritime-themed scenes.

The download is an 8 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this map, load the file into the environment slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. It functions as the primary light source, eliminating the need for complex artificial rigs. Adjust the rotation to align the sun with your project's orientation and scale the intensity to suit your scene's exposure requirements. The high-dynamic-range data ensures that reflections on glossy surfaces remain accurate and physically plausible without further manual adjustment.

This environment is well-suited for exterior architectural visualisations, yacht designs, and product renders requiring a natural, bright, open-air setting. Professionals use such maps to achieve realistic lighting for marine-based projects or to provide a neutral, high-contrast backdrop for outdoor furniture and vehicle design. It pairs effectively with scenes needing clear, direct sunlight and distinct, high-quality specular reflections. Search for this asset when working on daylight studies, coastal residential developments, or hospitality projects where a clean, bright, and expansive outdoor context is essential.
