About this asset

This 2K clear sky field HDRI environment map provides realistic image-based lighting for exterior architectural visualisation. This environment map captures a bright, clear midday sky over an open agricultural field. The high-dynamic-range data includes a distinct sun position, producing sharp shadows and accurate light distribution across the scene. The horizon line is relatively flat, typical of rural landscapes, allowing for seamless integration with architectural models placed on a ground plane. The file provides comprehensive 360-degree coverage, ensuring consistent reflections on metallic and glossy surfaces within a project. The lighting profile is neutral, suitable for general-purpose daylight rendering where a clean, unobstructed sky background is required for exterior shots.

The download is an 8.9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this map, load the file into the environment or world lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your model's orientation, which will automatically update both the primary light source and the reflections. Since this is an HDRI, it functions as both an image background and a light source, eliminating the need for additional artificial lights to achieve natural-looking shadows in your architectural scenes.

This environment is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly for residential and landscape projects situated in open, rural settings. It is well-suited for early-stage conceptual renders and final high-quality output where a bright, sunny day is desired. It pairs effectively with grass, gravel, and natural vegetation assets. Professionals often search for this type of asset when looking for clean, clear-day lighting conditions that avoid the complexity of overcast or stormy weather, providing a neutral backdrop for building exteriors.
