About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides clear afternoon sky lighting with a warm sun position for 3D rendering workflows. This HDRI environment map captures a serene, clear afternoon sky with a low-positioned, warm sun. The image features a smooth gradient transitioning from deep, saturated blue at the zenith to a soft, hazy horizon glow. The lighting profile is high-contrast, designed to cast distinct, directional shadows while maintaining ambient fill across the scene. The equirectangular projection ensures seamless 360-degree coverage, suitable for both exterior wide-angle shots and interior views where natural light enters through large glazing. The asset delivers a clean, neutral base for architectural visualization, free from distracting terrain or urban clutter.

The download is a 4.6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this file into the environment or background slot of your 3D rendering engine. When using with software like V-Ray, Corona, or Octane, ensure the mapping type is set to spherical or environment. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene geometry to achieve desired shadow angles. Because the file contains high dynamic range data, you can adjust the exposure and gamma settings within your renderer to fine-tune the intensity and contrast without losing the subtle color gradients.

This environment map works well for architectural exterior renders that require a bright, clean, and optimistic atmosphere. It is particularly effective for daytime residential projects, hospitality designs, or landscape visualizations where a clear horizon is necessary. Use it to establish natural, consistent lighting for models featuring glass facades or open-plan interiors. Designers can pair this with artificial light sources to balance the scene, making it a reliable choice for professional architectural presentations during the concept or final visualization stages of a project.
