About this asset

Bell Park Pier is a 2K equirectangular HDRI environment map featuring a calm lakeside setting with a wooden pier at golden hour. This HDRI environment map captures a serene waterside scene at a wooden pier, characterized by soft, diffused golden hour lighting. The 360-degree panorama includes a expansive view of a calm lake, rolling green hills, and a partly cloudy sky. The natural lighting provides a balanced contrast, suitable for realistic exterior renders. The foreground features the weathered textures of a timber pier, which provides a strong perspective anchor for architectural visualizations. The colour palette is dominated by cool blues from the sky and lake, contrasted against the warm, earthy tones of the wooden decking.

The download is a 5.6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment map, load the.hdr file into the background or environment lighting slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the pier with your camera perspective and match the sun position to your scene's primary light source. The equirectangular projection ensures seamless mapping across the spherical environment, providing accurate reflections on glass and water surfaces within your 3D scene. Fine-tune the exposure and white balance settings to harmonize the ambient light with your project's specific material properties.

Ideal for architectural visualizations of waterfront properties, luxury resorts, or recreational landscape designs, this environment provides a peaceful, natural backdrop. It works well for exterior shots where a sense of place and tranquility is required, particularly for projects featuring decking, boat docks, or lakeside cabins. Professionals looking for high-quality, realistic lighting for exterior scenes will find this useful for daylight or late-afternoon renderings. It pairs effectively with natural timber elements and glass-heavy facades, enhancing the realism of reflections and ambient global illumination.
