About this asset

This 2K equirectangular HDRI map captures an abandoned open-air theater at sunrise, providing realistic lighting for 3D visualizations. The environment map features a wide, panoramic view of a derelict outdoor stage facility. The structure is defined by a large, curved concrete shell roof and tiered seating areas, all showing significant signs of weathering and urban decay. Graffiti covers the rear stage walls, adding texture and a gritty, authentic atmosphere. The scene is illuminated by the soft, directional light of an early morning sun, casting gentle shadows across the cracked asphalt ground and brick foundations. Its composition provides a full 360-degree field of view, ideal for immersive background plates or environmental lighting.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into the environment slot of your preferred 3D rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Use the map to drive global illumination and reflections to achieve consistent lighting across your scene. Because the image is an equirectangular projection, it will map seamlessly to a spherical background. Adjust the exposure and rotation parameters within your software’s environment settings to align the sun position with your architectural model and ensure the lighting intensity matches your project's specific requirements.

This HDRI is well-suited for architectural visualisations requiring a raw, post-industrial aesthetic or a sense of urban abandonment. It works effectively as a backdrop for projects involving adaptive reuse, landscape design, or gritty, cinematic scenes. Use it when you need to integrate 3D elements into a realistic, non-studio environment, ensuring the natural morning light helps blend your assets into the scene. Professionals often search for this type of asset when developing concept art, game environments, or realistic exterior renders for architectural competitions.
