Designed for exterior facade openings, this traditional arched window shutter Revit family features a two-panel raised profile with a curved top rail. This exterior shutter element presents a vertical rectangular profile terminating in a gently curved, segmented arch along its top rail. The frame encloses two recessed rectangular panels separated by an intermediate horizontal mid-rail, with a tall upper section and a compact lower panel. Distinct bevelled moulding details frame both recessed surfaces, providing clean shadow lines across the facade. Finished in a solid reddish terracotta tone, the shutter acts as an exterior decorative or functional window accessory designed to flank arched residential apertures.
The download is a 215 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Load the.rfa family directly into your Revit project environment to dress external window assemblies. Position the shutter component adjacent to masonry or framed window reveals on exterior walls. Depending on family hosting parameters, align the arched rail profile to the window lintel radius, and assign project-specific materials or paint finishes via the Revit type properties dialog to coordinate with exterior elevations and specification schedules.
Suited to traditional, colonial, cottage, and Mediterranean residential architecture, this shutter enhances exterior elevations across single-family villas, townhouses, and heritage restoration schemes. It pairs naturally with arched multi-pane sash windows, stucco walls, facing brickwork, and decorative exterior sills. Architects and facade visualisers often incorporate arched shutters, panelled exterior shutters, and window casing accessories when developing detailed building elevations and streetscape perspectives.
