About this asset

This modern four-lite ribbon window Revit family features a slim horizontal profile hosted within an exterior wall assembly. Designed as a horizontal multi-pane strip aperture, this window assembly features four contiguous glazed units enclosed in a slender perimeter frame. The elongated low-aspect geometry provides a clerestory or mid-height sightline while preserving solid wall surface area around the cut opening. Individual framing vertical mullions define each equal-width pane, establishing a clear rhythmic division across the expanse. Clean, unadorned frame profiles deliver a crisp interface against the wall surface, suitable for standard veneer, render, or insulated panel facade build-ups.

The download is a 266 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Load the RFA component directly into your Revit project environment to insert it as a wall-hosted element. Upon placement along an exterior or interior partition, the component automatically generates the necessary wall opening cut. Standard family instance and type parameters allow designers to assign project materials, calibrate frame finishes, and coordinate glazing transparency for consistent plan representations, elevations, and visual renderings.

This horizontal fenestration fits contemporary residential schemes, commercial offices, studio workshops, and educational facilities requiring daylighting control. Place it as a high-level clerestory in bathrooms, utility corridors, or basement rooms to admit natural daylight while maintaining privacy. It equally suits modern facade designs pairing strip glazing with concrete, metal cladding, or masonry construction across early conceptual massing and detailed documentation phases.
