Configured for residential and commercial HVAC design, this Zehnder ComfoAir Q600 ventilation unit Revit family features a compact four-port layout. The equipment model represents an upright mechanical heat recovery ventilation unit. Its rectangular housing is clad in sheet metal with a neutral grey chassis and a dual-tone front fascia. The front panel combines curved outer edges, clean split seams, a prominent black upper service section, and an embossed manufacturer accent in red along the lower perimeter. Four circular duct spigot collars are aligned across the top surface, divided into intake and exhaust arrangements flanking a flat central access hatch. Compact proportions allow realistic spatial co-ordination within standard plant rooms or service cupboards.
The download is a 1.3 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
MEP engineers can load this RFA family into project models to coordinate mechanical layouts and clash detection. Ductwork runs can be connected directly to the top spigots to route supply, extract, outdoor, and exhaust air paths. Assign the element to proper mechanical equipment categories, set appropriate phase filters, and verify clear access clearances in front of the unit for filter replacement and regular maintenance servicing.
Essential for low-energy housing, multi-family developments, and Passivhaus projects, this heat recovery unit provides controlled mechanical ventilation with heat recovery (MVHR). Architects and building services consultants can place the unit within utility rooms, basements, ceiling plant spaces, or dedicated equipment cupboards. It pairs naturally with acoustic attenuators, rigid insulated ducting, and manifold distribution boxes, answering project searches for Zehnder ComfoAir units, residential MVHR systems, and packaged ventilation equipment.
