About this asset

This industrial steel cart corral is a Revit family designed for exterior site planning in retail and commercial parking projects. This cart corral consists of a simple, durable tubular steel frame configured as an open-ended rectangle. The structure features a continuous railing design supported by vertical posts at each corner and mid-span, providing a clear containment zone for shopping trolleys. Its minimalist form is strictly functional, designed to withstand outdoor conditions while maintaining a low visual profile in large parking areas. The geometry is clean and lightweight, focusing on the essential structural members required to delineate the storage area without unnecessary decorative elements or complex detailing.

The download is a 82 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is typically placed on a site plan or hardscape surface within a parking lot layout. Users should align the open end of the corral with the designated traffic flow or pedestrian walkway for optimal access. Because it is a lightweight component, it can be easily copied to populate multiple locations across a site. Assign a metallic material finish to the structural frame to ensure it displays correctly in rendered site views or 3D project presentations.

This asset is essential for architects and site planners working on retail developments, shopping centres, and large-scale supermarket projects. It is used during the site design stage to define vehicle circulation and pedestrian safety zones. Professionals often pair this with bollards, parking striping, and lighting components to create fully detailed exterior site plans. Search for this item when coordinating service areas, parking lot infrastructure, or general site amenities for high-traffic commercial environments where trolley management is a key operational requirement.
