This Revit family set provides a diverse collection of trees featuring both solid geometric forms and RPC representations for site plans. This collection features fourteen distinct tree archetypes, ranging from broad-canopied deciduous forms to upright, conical evergreens. The set includes a mix of simplified, solid-geometry representations for clear diagrammatic site planning and RPC-style silhouettes for more detailed visualisations. Each tree is modeled with varying heights and canopy densities, allowing for a realistic distribution of scale and texture across a site masterplan. The forms are clean and lightweight, ensuring they do not overly burden the file size while maintaining a clear visual distinction between different species and growth stages in both 2D and 3D views.
The download is a 1.1 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
In Revit, these families are loaded into the project via the Load Family command and placed using the Planting tool. They are designed to show as simplified 2D symbols in plan views, which can be toggled to show the full 3D geometry in elevations or perspective renders. Users should manage these using the Visibility/Graphics Overrides to control the detail level, ensuring that the heavy RPC geometry does not hinder performance during the active design development phases of a project.
These trees are essential for architects and landscape designers working on residential, commercial, or urban masterplanning projects. They are ideal for adding context to site plans, section drawings, and environmental studies where visual clarity is paramount. By populating site models with this set, designers can effectively communicate the scale of proposed developments, the density of vegetation, and the overall landscape strategy. They pair well with standard site components, paving textures, and hardscape elements to create comprehensive site documentation and high-quality presentation visuals.
