About this asset

This 2D decorative shrub planting Revit family provides a symbolic plan representation for architectural site and landscape plans. Designed for clarity in documentation, this 2D planting family features a simplified, stylized outline of a shrub. The graphic representation combines precise line work with a solid, light-purple fill, allowing it to stand out against white backgrounds or standard site plan linework. Its form is organic and irregular, mimicking the natural, bushy habit of a garden shrub. This component is intended solely for plan views, ensuring that landscape layouts remain clean and easy to read without the computational overhead of 3D geometry or complex foliage textures.

The download is a 389 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is best utilised as a detail component or nested planting family for site and landscape documentation. Simply load the RFA file into your project and place it directly onto your floor plan or site plan views. Because it is a 2D symbolic object, it will remain consistently oriented regardless of camera angle. Adjust the visibility settings within your view templates to manage its display alongside other site elements like paving, trees, or hardscaping.

This asset is essential for architects and landscape designers who need to populate site plans, garden designs, or courtyard layouts quickly. It pairs well with other 2D landscape symbols, providing a consistent graphic language for presentation drawings and construction documentation. Professionals working on residential projects, urban masterplans, or commercial landscape designs will find this useful for conveying planting density and green space distribution. Use it to enhance the readability of site plans, landscape masterplans, and exterior design presentations where clear, schematic vegetation representation is required.
