About this asset

Cast iron floor cleanouts provide essential MEP drainage access, and this Revit plumbing fixture features a threaded brass top with a raised carpet marker. The assembly comprises a heavy-duty cylindrical cast iron body finished in industrial grey primer, integrated with a wide anchoring flange and side plug access. At the top, an adjustable threaded brass collar supports a concentric scored round brass cleanout cover designed to sit flush with finished floor surfaces. A central stainless steel machine screw secures an elevated circular carpet marker disc, facilitating location after carpet installation. Robust circular contours, cast lugs, and clean cylindrical transitions define the piece, providing an authentic depiction of heavy commercial sanitary drainage components.

The download is a 317 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Engineers can insert this RFA component directly into Revit building models to coordinate sanitary piping runs and floor slab penetrations. The cleanout can be aligned to slab datums and hosted beneath architectural floor finishes, ensuring accurate clearances during clash detection with structural rebar and MEP sub-services. Visual graphic overrides and subcategories can be assigned to isolate pipe fittings and cleanouts in plumbing detail views and riser diagrams.

Suitable for commercial office corridors, healthcare facilities, institutional restrooms, and industrial utility spaces, this floor cleanout model supports detailed plumbing documentation. Architects and public health engineers search for adjustable floor cleanout, carpet cleanout plug, and cast iron drainage access when detailing slab assemblies and wet areas. It coordinates seamlessly with waste pipe layouts, floor drains, and sanitary stacks across design development, construction documentation, and clash coordination phases.
