Industrial Black Cast Iron Floor Drain – FD-450-F

Featuring a slotted square grate and circular sump, this industrial iron floor drain Revit family provides accurate geometry for commercial drainage. Cast in durable dark iron with a matte charcoal finish, the unit comprises a square heavy-duty strainer atop a cast body assembly. Concentric diagonal slots define the upper drain grate, reinforced with a solid perimeter rim and central structural hub to handle direct surface loads. Below the square flange, the round drain body transitions smoothly into a vertical cylindrical outlet collar. Threaded connections, clamping collar tabs, and deep drain channels are cleanly delineated in the component geometry, reflecting standard institutional and commercial drainage specifications.

The download is a 317 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Delivered as an RFA file, this plumbing fixture component loads directly into Revit MEP and architectural models. Connect the bottom discharge pipe connector into gravity sanitary or trade waste piping networks, setting fall gradients as needed. Adjust instance elevation parameters to align the top edge of the slotted grate flush with finished floor surfaces or sloped shower and plant room screeds.

Engineered for heavy-duty commercial drainage, this drain suits utility rooms, plant enclosures, commercial kitchens, multi-storey parking structures, and industrial production facilities. It coordinates seamlessly with concrete slab penetrations, waterproofing membrane details, and cast iron soil stacks. Designers searching for commercial floor waste, heavy-duty floor drain, square grating drain, or cast iron drain body will find this component well proportioned for detailed coordination drawings.
