About this asset

This square recessed downlight is a Revit family featuring a clean, minimalist aesthetic suitable for modern ceiling installations. This square recessed downlight offers a simple and unobtrusive profile designed for seamless integration into ceiling planes. The fixture features a crisp, geometric square housing finished in a neutral white, framing a central light-diffusing lens. Its low-profile design ensures it sits flush or near-flush with the ceiling surface, providing clean lines and uniform illumination. The construction utilises durable metal components for the casing and a frosted glass or acrylic diffuser to soften the light output, making it ideal for general ambient lighting in both residential and commercial interior spaces.

The download is a 297 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a ceiling-hosted Revit family, this downlight is designed to snap directly onto ceiling surfaces or face-based host elements within your project. Users can easily adjust the mounting height and light output parameters directly within the properties palette. For accurate lighting analysis, ensure the IES file parameters are correctly mapped if applicable, and verify that the light source is positioned correctly relative to the ceiling finish to avoid unwanted clipping or shadows during the rendering process in internal engines.

This fixture is well-suited for general illumination across a variety of project types, including contemporary residential living areas, corridors, and professional office environments. It pairs effectively with minimalist interior schemes where clean, functional lighting is required without visual clutter. Professionals searching for recessed lighting, square ceiling fixtures, or general ambient luminaires will find this model a versatile addition to their lighting schedules. It is particularly useful for grid-based layouts in commercial spaces or as a subtle accent in modern home design.
