About this asset

This spherical red paper pendant light is a Revit family featuring a traditional oriental aesthetic and a clean, minimalist mount. This spherical pendant light features a vibrant red paper diffuser, mimicking the classic form of a traditional Chinese lantern. The shade is suspended by a simple, clean-lined metal stem connected to a matching circular ceiling canopy. A secondary decorative metal element hangs from the base of the sphere, adding a weighted visual contrast to the lightweight paper structure. The proportions are balanced, making the fixture suitable for accent lighting in spaces where a touch of cultural character is required. Its simple geometry ensures it remains a versatile choice for contemporary interior design schemes.

The download is a 328 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a native Revit family, this pendant light is designed for ceiling-hosted placement within your project files. Users can easily load the RFA into a lighting fixture category, allowing for integration with electrical schedules and circuiting workflows. The family should be placed on a ceiling plane or reference level, with the stem length adjusted to suit specific room heights. For realistic visualisations, ensure the light source is correctly oriented within the project and assigned an appropriate IES profile for accurate output.

This fixture is ideal for residential dining areas, boutique hospitality settings, or Asian-inspired restaurant interiors. It pairs effectively with natural timber furniture and minimalist decor to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Professionals searching for decorative lighting, oriental-style fixtures, or accent pendants will find this model useful for adding character to hospitality or residential design projects. It is particularly effective when clustered in groups at varying heights to create dynamic focal points over tables, counters, or in quiet lounge corners.
