About this asset

This modern chrome pendant light is a Revit family featuring a perforated dome shade and a reflective metallic finish. The pendant light consists of a large, hemispherical dome shade crafted from polished chrome-finished metal. The surface is punctuated by a uniform grid of small, circular perforations that allow for subtle light diffusion and textural interest. It is suspended from a matching circular ceiling canopy by a thin, adjustable cable, maintaining a clean, minimalist silhouette. The interior of the shade is finished to ensure optimal light distribution downwards, making it suitable for focused task lighting or ambient illumination. Its high-gloss exterior acts as a mirror, reflecting the surrounding interior environment.

The download is a 1.3 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a ceiling-hosted Revit family, this pendant is designed for quick insertion into reflected ceiling plans or 3D views. Users can adjust the suspension length via instance parameters to suit varying ceiling heights. The material parameters are pre-configured to allow for easy adjustments to the chrome finish or the addition of custom textures. For high-quality visualisations, ensure the light source is correctly oriented within the family environment to achieve accurate shadow casting and light distribution patterns in your render.

This fixture is ideal for contemporary dining areas, kitchen islands, or modern office breakout spaces where a touch of reflective, industrial-inspired detail is desired. It pairs effectively with minimalist interiors and works well in both residential and hospitality projects such as boutique hotels or cafes. Designers often specify this style of pendant for its ability to anchor a space without overwhelming the visual field.
