About this asset

This Japanese-inspired paper and dark wood floor lamp is a Revit family featuring a clean, geometric silhouette for ambient lighting. Characterised by its minimalist, vertical form, this floor lamp features a rectangular frame constructed from dark-stained timber. Four slender uprights support a central light-diffusing panel made of textured paper, which creates a soft, warm glow. The design draws heavily from traditional shoji aesthetic, focusing on structural clarity and the interplay between light and shadow. The base is simple and square, providing a stable foundation for the tall, slender body. This piece serves as a sophisticated accent, balancing organic material textures with precise, linear geometry to complement contemporary and zen-inspired interiors.

The download is a 276 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a native Revit family, this luminaire is designed for straightforward placement within floor plans or 3D views. Users should load the RFA file into the project, then place it using the component tool. The light source is pre-configured for standard rendering outputs; however, users may need to adjust the light intensity or colour temperature within the family type properties to suit specific interior lighting schemes and project-wide daylighting requirements.

This floor lamp is well-suited for creating intimate, ambient focal points in residential living rooms, bedrooms, or hotel suites. It works effectively in projects where a calm, minimalist atmosphere is desired, such as spa environments or meditation areas. Professionals looking to specify authentic-looking accent lighting for japandi or modern interiors will find this asset useful for both schematic design and final visualisations. It pairs well with low-profile furniture and neutral palettes, acting as a functional sculptural element.
