About this asset

Styled with retro character, this purple glass lava lamp Revit family features a conical liquid vessel resting on a polished chrome pedestal base. The luminaire showcases an iconic mid-century silhouette defined by an elongated conical glass bottle capped with a fitted metallic finial. Inside the translucent magenta-tinted fluid chamber, a dense red wax element forms a rising globular droplet above the lower reservoir. The vessel slots securely into an hourglass-profile base finished in reflective polished chrome, providing both structural stability and visual balance. Subtle vertical reflections along the glass highlight its smooth cylindrical taper, while the high-gloss metallic surfaces catch surrounding illumination, replicating authentic novelty accent lighting.

The download is a 440 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Designed for seamless placement within Revit, this component functions as a tabletop or shelf-hosted decorative family. Users can insert the element onto horizontal surfaces such as sideboards, desks, or nightstands across interior elevations and 3D visualisations. Material parameters allow quick adjustment of glass transparency, fluid tint, and metallic finish properties to align with rendering lighting studies and practice graphic standards.

Ideally suited for residential interiors, hospitality lounges, creative agency breakout spaces, and retro-themed boutique hotels, this fixture adds distinctive ambient styling to scheme presentations. It pairs naturally with mid-century credenzas, timber bookshelves, vintage lounge seating, and eclectic bedside arrangements. Architectural visualisers and interior designers frequently search for novelty table lamps, decorative accent lights, retro desk accessories, and ambient liquid motion lights to bring personality and lived-in charm to detailed living room renderings.
