Traditional White Wood Hanging Porch Swing – NOHS

A slatted white timber porch swing suspended from dark metal chains, provided as a Revit family for residential veranda and patio layouts. This exterior seating component features a classic porch swing bench constructed from painted white horizontal slats across the backrest and deep seat. Symmetrical flat armrests frame the sides, while dual overhead link chains support each end of the bench assembly. The timber frame displays clean rectilinear joinery, balanced proportions, and a gently angled backrest designed for ergonomic lounging. Rendered in crisp white with dark suspension hardware, the fixture captures standard domestic vernacular craftsmanship, providing an authentic outdoor furnishing element that complements covered entryways and residential verandas.

The download is a 4.4 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Delivered as an RFA file, this family can be loaded directly into Revit project templates or linked into architectural presentation scenes. Position the swing under soffits, porch beams, or pergola framing elements using standard level or offset parameters. Materials for the painted timber slats and metallic suspension chains map cleanly in shaded views, enscape walkthroughs, and native BIM rendering engines, facilitating accurate clearance studies on exterior floor plans.

Tailored for single-family residences, suburban developments, coastal cottages, and boutique hospitality cabins, this asset populates front verandas, covered porches, and rear garden decks. It naturally coordinates with outdoor balustrades, entry doors, exterior sconces, and weatherboard cladding in schematic design and marketing visualisations. Designers searching for a hanging bench, wooden porch swing, exterior veranda seating, or residential patio furniture can integrate this element to establish an inviting, lived-in aesthetic across facade elevations and perspective views.
