Designed after Enzo Mari's iconic Autoprogettazione project, this slatted timber dining chair Revit family features utilitarian plank construction. Constructed from standard-dimension dimensional lumber boards, the design reflects Enzo Mari's classic 1974 Sedia 1123 design. The backrest is composed of four vertical slats set at a reclined angle, anchored directly to an angled rear support structure. Five horizontal slats form the flat seat plane, resting securely on a robust perimeter timber apron. Straight rectangular front legs are counterbalanced by diagonal bracing members that extend rearward to establish stability. Clean joints and exposed structural connections give the chair its distinct, honest constructivist aesthetic while maintaining sturdy, ergonomic proportions.
The download is a 348 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Load this RFA component directly into your Revit project environment to furnish floor plans, elevations, and 3D perspectives. The lightweight geometry ensures smooth navigation across dense interior models and furniture schedules without bloating file sizes. Material parameters can be mapped to project-specific wood stains, matte paints, or rough-sawn pine textures to match client specifications in Enscape, Twinmotion, or native shaded views.
Well-suited for design-forward residential dining rooms, creative studio offices, boutique retail layouts, and artisanal cafes. The minimalist wooden profile pairs effortlessly with industrial steel tables, raw concrete surfaces, and mid-century interiors seeking an understated artisanal focal point. Interior designers and architects frequently specify this piece for scheme presentations and design intent documentation when showcasing modern craft, sustainable woodworking concepts, or curated communal gathering spaces.
