About this asset

This vintage desktop telephone with an integrated answering machine is a Revit family featuring a classic beige and grey plastic design. This desktop telephone model features a traditional, utilitarian aesthetic common to late twentieth-century communication hardware. The device consists of a low-profile base housing a keypad, an integrated answering machine console, and a standard wired handset resting in a side cradle. The physical form is blocky and functional, finished in a neutral beige with grey accents on the controls and handset. Its geometry is straightforward, capturing the essential proportions of retro office equipment while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for placement on desks, side tables, or reception counters in various project types.

The download is a 61 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a standard Revit family, this component is designed for placement on flat surfaces such as desks or side tables. Users can load the file directly into their project environment and host it on top of furniture elements. The geometry is lightweight, ensuring minimal impact on model performance. It is useful for adding detail to interior renderings or floor plans where a period-appropriate or retro tech aesthetic is required to populate office or residential spaces.

This asset is ideal for interior design projects requiring mid-century or late-century office detailing, such as historical office renovations, residential studies, or period-specific film set designs. It complements traditional or vintage-style wooden desks and office furniture. Professionals searching for retro communication devices, classic office props, or historical interior accessories will find this model a suitable addition to their BIM library for staging realistic workspace environments in both residential and professional office settings.
