About this asset

This black plastic TV remote control Revit family provides a detailed handheld accessory for realistic interior visualisation. This handheld TV remote control features a simple, rectangular form with rounded edges, typical of standard consumer electronic interfaces. The matte black body houses a variety of tactile buttons, including a central directional navigation pad with blue-accented keys, a distinct red power button, and a numerical keypad area. The proportions are designed to represent a generic, modern remote control, making it a versatile addition to any interior scene. It is modelled with clean geometry that maintains efficiency while providing enough detail for close-up shots on surfaces like coffee tables or media units.

The download is a 389 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

To integrate this family into a Revit project, load the RFA file into your active model and place it as a generic model component. Because this element is small, ensure your project's object styles are configured to allow for precise placement on furniture surfaces. The material parameters can be adjusted within the family editor to match the specific finish requirements of your rendering engine, allowing for customisation of the button colours or the main casing texture as needed for your project documentation.

Ideal for populating residential living rooms, hotel suites, or home cinema projects, this remote control adds a layer of lived-in detail to your BIM models. It is perfectly suited for high-quality architectural visualisations where a sense of domestic authenticity is required. Place it on coffee tables, TV consoles, or nightstands to complete the look of a furnished space. Professionals often search for this type of asset when staging media areas or creating detailed interior renders for client presentations or portfolio work.
