About this asset

This Revit family of a disc golf target is a precise recreation of the Innova DISCatcher, featuring a yellow band and steel chain basket. The Innova DISCatcher is a standard disc golf target designed for outdoor recreational use. It features a central vertical post supporting a circular basket constructed from a series of steel rods. Above the basket, a secondary circular frame holds a series of vertical chains, designed to catch flying discs during play. A distinctive yellow band encircles the top section, providing high visibility. The entire assembly is robust, intended for permanent installation in public parks or dedicated sports facilities. The geometry is clean and efficient, focusing on the functional components of the target system.

The download is a 676 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is best utilized as a site component within landscape or master planning projects. Users can load the file directly into the project environment and place it on the site plan or within the 3D model. Because it is a native family, it allows for easy rotation and alignment with site paths or topographical features. The materials are separated into logical sub-categories, enabling the user to adjust the appearance of the yellow band or the steel frame to suit specific project presentation standards.

This asset is essential for architects and landscape designers working on public parks, university campuses, or recreational sports facilities. It is particularly useful during the schematic and design development phases to illustrate site activity zones and recreational amenities. Professionals seeking to populate site plans or exterior renderings will find this model ideal for adding authentic detail to community spaces. It pairs well with other outdoor site furniture, landscape elements, and topographical site models, helping to communicate the programmatic intent of open-air sports areas.
