About this asset

This rustic timber glazed screen Revit family integrates central double doors, fixed glazed sidelights, and flanking braced barn door shutters. The assembly combines a four-module timber-framed screen with heavy external barn-style shutters. At the centre, a pair of glazed casement doors allows passage, flanked symmetrically by full-height fixed glass panels set within matching timber frames. Anchoring the exterior face, two broad timber batten shutters feature prominent diagonal Z-brace framing and an overhead pelmet detail. Finished in warm natural wood tones with simple rectangular profiles, the door unit merges traditional agrarian vernacular styling with modern fenestration requirements, providing robust security, weather protection, and expansive natural daylighting.

The download is a 236 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Designed for clean placement within Revit project models, this door assembly integrates efficiently into building facades. Users can insert the family into model elevations, adjusting alignment and orientation to suit exterior layouts. Shading and graphic display options correspond across plan and 3D views. Assign appropriate project finishes to the timber framing and glass panes via standard material settings to achieve consistent schedules and visual presentations.

Ideal for country homes, barn conversions, modern rustic villas, and boutique rural retreats, this external glazed screen connects living rooms, kitchens, or master bedrooms directly to outdoor patios and gardens. It suits architectural schematic design through to construction documentation phases. Designers searching for rustic sliding shutters, French doors with sidelights, or glazed timber screens can integrate this multi-panel fenestration package to impart strong heritage character to contemporary residential elevations.
