Modern Dark Glazed Four-Panel Folding Door with Transom

Featuring slim dark metal framing and fixed upper transoms, this modern four-panel glazed folding door Revit family hosts cleanly into project walls. The assembly incorporates four full-height glazed leaves arranged in an accordion folding layout, flanked symmetrically to open outwards from the centre. Each door leaf features slender dark metallic stiles and rails surrounding clear vision glass panels, maximizing transparency and light penetration. Positioned directly above the primary door head, a horizontal transom frame encloses three fixed clerestory lites that align with the opening width. Clean joints, minimal hardware sightlines, and balanced vertical divisions establish an architectural aesthetic suited for open-plan transitions, with accompanying 2D plan graphics illustrating clear fold kinematics.

The download is a 829 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Load this wall-hosted family directly into your Revit project template or active model. Place the instance along exterior envelopes or interior partitions, allowing the cut opening to automatically generate in the host wall. Parameter adjustments facilitate dimension scheduling and visibility overrides, while dedicated 2D symbolic linework ensures clean representation in floor plans and detail sections without generating heavy geometry in coordination views.

Suited for contemporary residential extensions, rear patio connections, garden rooms, and terrace thresholds, this multi-panel folding system bridges indoor living areas with outdoor environments. In commercial or hospitality schemes, the family fits restaurant indoor-outdoor dining zones, storefront facades, and boutique hotel balconies. Specifiers frequently search for folding glass doors, bi-fold patio systems, glazed folding partitions, and accordion doors when detailing high-performance transitions and openable external envelopes.
