About this asset

This suspended oval fireplace is a native Revit family featuring a minimalist black metal housing and a central ceiling-mounted flue. The fireplace features a distinct, horizontally oriented oval body finished in a matte black metal. It is designed to hang from the ceiling, connected by a slender, cylindrical central flue that extends vertically to the mounting point. The firebox interior is finished in a contrasting lighter tone, creating a focal point when illuminated by the integrated flame effect. The overall form is sleek and sculptural, emphasizing clean lines and a contemporary aesthetic suitable for open-plan living areas or boutique hotel lounges where a suspended hearth serves as a primary architectural feature.

The download is a 317 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

In Revit, this family is ceiling-hosted, allowing for precise placement within your reflected ceiling plan or 3D views. Users should ensure the ceiling structure is modeled to support the host-based connection. The family includes parameters for adjusting the flue height to match varying floor-to-ceiling dimensions. Materials can be managed via the object styles or type properties to coordinate with the project's interior finish schedule, while the light source component can be adjusted within the family editor to control the firebox glow.

This asset is ideal for residential interior design projects, particularly in luxury apartments or modern villas where a statement fireplace is required. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and open-plan layouts. Professionals searching for 'suspended fireplace', 'pendant hearth', or 'modern feature fireplace' will find this model effective for high-end visualisations and design development. It is suitable for use in living rooms, luxury master suites, or commercial reception areas where a bold, contemporary heating solution is desired for atmosphere and visual impact.
