Modern Grey Double-Bay Bookshelf with Storage Boxes

Designed for educational playrooms, this modern double-bay bookshelf Revit family incorporates open shelving and colourful lower storage bins. The millwork assembly comprises a tall twin-bay casework structure configured with multiple tiers of full-width open shelving above an organized grid of base cubby compartments. Finished in neutral matte grey framing, the upper open tiers accommodate books, displays, and instructional supplies. Beneath the open shelves, the lower modular compartments house vibrant pull-out storage containers in contrasting orange, forest green, and teal tones, providing concealed yet accessible storage for toys, crafting materials, and loose items. Clean rectangular profiles, flush dividers, and recessed plinth detailing give the unit an organized, child-friendly appearance.

The download is a 410 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

As a native Revit casework family, the asset loads into project templates and aligns against interior partition walls. Place the component in plan or interior elevation views to coordinate clear wall clearances and ceiling heights. Standard material parameters allow assignment of practice-specific laminate or painted finishes across carcass surfaces and modular boxes, facilitating realistic rendering alongside accurate schedules and quantity takeoffs.

Tailored specifically for learning and recreational environments, this storage casework fits into daycare facilities, preschool classrooms, children's library zones, kindergarten playrooms, and family entertainment centers. It coordinates seamlessly with juvenile activity tables, low-height stacking chairs, and interactive soft-play equipment. Designers frequently search for modular classroom storage, kids playroom millwork, cubby shelving units, and educational bookcase families during early schematic layouts and interior documentation.
