This IFC2x3 electrical discipline model provides a comprehensive technical dataset for the coordination of a medical-dental clinic. The model represents the electrical infrastructure of a medical-dental clinic, structured as an IFC2x3 file for openBIM interoperability. It contains the specific MEP systems required for clinical operations, including power distribution, lighting circuits, and associated electrical equipment. The geometry and data parameters are configured to facilitate multi-disciplinary coordination in building information modelling workflows. As a coordination sample, it demonstrates industry-standard classification and property sets for electrical components within a healthcare facility, ensuring that all systems are correctly categorised for clash detection and building system analysis during the design and construction phases.

The download is a 6.5 MB file containing .IFC files.

Professionals can import this IFC dataset into any BIM-authoring or coordination software that supports the IFC2x3 schema. The file serves as a reference for verifying electrical system layouts against architectural and structural models. Users should check the model hierarchy and property mapping upon import to ensure that all electrical assets are correctly associated with their respective spaces and systems, facilitating accurate scheduling, load calculations, and spatial coordination within a complex clinical environment.

This asset is intended for use in healthcare facility design, specifically for MEP engineers and BIM managers tasked with system coordination. It is suitable for clinical projects during the design development and construction documentation stages. The model helps practitioners testing interoperability workflows between different BIM software packages. Professionals searching for openBIM healthcare resources, electrical MEP coordination models, or clinical infrastructure datasets will find this file essential for establishing baseline coordination standards in complex, high-compliance medical building projects.
