About this asset

Potted Strelitzia Nicolai indoor plant model for SketchUp, featuring large, broad green leaves in a simple cylindrical grey pot. This model depicts a Strelitzia Nicolai, commonly known as a giant white bird of paradise, presented in a minimalist cylindrical container. The plant exhibits characteristic broad, elongated leaves with a deep green coloration and visible venation, arranged in a naturalistic, slightly irregular fan-like growth pattern. The foliage density is moderate, allowing for realistic light filtration and shadow casting within a 3D scene. The pot is a neutral, matte grey finish with a clean, unadorned profile that complements a wide range of interior styles from modern to contemporary residential or commercial spaces.

The download is a 7.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, this model is best utilised as a component to ensure easy replication and management of file size. Users should place the plant on a designated layer to toggle visibility during active modelling phases, which helps maintain viewport performance. The textures are mapped to the geometry, so ensure the material file is kept in the same directory as the model. For high-quality visualisations, apply a slight reflective property to the leaf surfaces to simulate natural waxy cuticles and enhance depth.

This potted plant is an essential asset for adding life to interior visualisations, particularly in high-end residential living rooms, bright lobby areas, or corporate breakout spaces. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture, mid-century modern sideboards, or as a focal point in a contemporary home office. Professionals searching for botanical accents, houseplant assets, or interior greenery will find this model versatile for both close-up architectural renders and wide-angle room shots. It is suitable for projects at any design stage, from concept development to final presentation.
