About this asset

This potted Strelitzia Nicolai indoor plant for SketchUp features upright, broad leaves and a textured white ceramic planter. This 3D asset represents a Strelitzia Nicolai, commonly known as the giant white bird of paradise. The plant is characterised by its tall, dark green, paddle-shaped leaves that grow in a fan-like arrangement from a central stem base. It is housed in a simple, spherical white ceramic pot with a subtle, fine-grained texture. The foliage shows natural variations in shade and leaf structure, providing a realistic appearance for interior visualisation. The model is scaled appropriately for residential or commercial interior settings, balancing structural height with a clean, minimalist container design.

The download is a 7.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, import this component directly into your model to populate interior scenes. Use the scale tool to adjust the plant size to fit specific corners or planters, ensuring the axes are aligned with your floor plane. Because this asset is a high-detail component, group the geometry to manage file performance in larger projects. Apply custom materials or adjust the existing texture mapping if you need to integrate the plant into specific render engine workflows like V-Ray or Enscape.

This botanical asset is ideal for adding life to modern residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, or professional office reception areas. It pairs well with minimalist decor, contemporary furniture, and light-filled spaces where natural greenery is required to soften architectural lines. Architects and interior designers often search for this type of plant to fill dead corners, enhance biophilic design strategies, or provide a focal point in staging empty floor plans. It is a versatile choice for both high-end residential developments and commercial hospitality projects.
