About this asset

This neoclassical plaster ceiling panel is a detailed SketchUp asset featuring an intricate central medallion and corner motifs. This square ceiling panel is defined by its rich neoclassical ornamentation. The design is centred around a detailed oval medallion, which is encircled by a delicate beaded border and set within a tiered, recessed frame. The four corners of the panel are embellished with ornate floral relief carvings, adding depth and shadow. Simple circular motifs punctuate the centre of each side of the outer frame, providing a balanced geometric contrast to the intricate central detailing. The entire piece is rendered with a smooth, consistent beige finish, mimicking traditional cast gypsum plaster work.

The download is a 24.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this ceiling panel into a SketchUp scene, place it as a component within your ceiling group or layer. Use the scale tool to adjust dimensions to fit specific room grid sizes, ensuring the geometry is correctly aligned with your ceiling plan. Apply custom material textures to the surface to achieve realistic light interaction or paint finishes. Since the geometry is detailed, consider placing it on a dedicated layer to manage model performance effectively during the drafting process.

Ideal for high-end residential interiors, heritage restoration projects, or luxury hospitality venues, this panel adds instant architectural character to formal living rooms, grand dining spaces, or entrance lobbies. Professionals typically search for this type of asset when detailing coffered ceilings, period-style interior renovations, or classical room elevations. It pairs well with other architectural mouldings, such as crown cornices or wall panelling systems, to create a cohesive, traditional aesthetic in both new builds and historical interior design schemes.
