About this asset

This potted indoor tree SketchUp model features a slender sapling with delicate small-leaf foliage in a minimal grey pot. This asset depicts a young indoor tree with a thin, branching trunk and sparse, light green foliage. The plant is housed in a simple, cylindrical container featuring two subtle horizontal embossed bands around the upper portion. The finish of the pot is a matte, neutral grey, providing a clean look that fits various interior styles. The soil surface is textured, simulating a natural planting medium within the vessel. Its overall form is airy and vertical, making it suitable for tight corners or as a subtle accent piece in a rendered interior scene.

The download is a 4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is best utilised as a component. You can easily scale the plant to suit different ceiling heights or counter surfaces. To maintain performance in complex scenes, keep the model on a dedicated 'Vegetation' layer, allowing for quick toggling during view manipulation. If using a rendering plugin, ensure the foliage materials are correctly mapped to allow for realistic light transmission and shadow casting, which will enhance the depth of the thin branches.

Ideal for residential living rooms, modern office lobbies, or boutique retail spaces, this plant serves as a versatile decor element. It pairs well with minimalist furniture and neutral palettes, adding a touch of natural life without overwhelming the composition. Architects and visualisers frequently use such assets for staging interior design projects, particularly during the concept and final visualisation stages. Search for 'indoor tree', 'potted plant', or 'minimalist decor' when looking for similar assets to populate your interior scenes and architectural renderings.
