About this asset

This SketchUp model features a slender ornamental grass specimen housed in a weathered terracotta planter for interior scenes. The asset depicts a cluster of upright, blade-like ornamental grass foliage with a vibrant green finish, emerging from a classic, tapered terracotta pot. The planter exhibits a distinct, slightly weathered texture with a subtle gradient of earthy red-brown tones, suggesting a fired clay construction. A matching saucer is integrated at the base, providing a complete, realistic look for close-up renders. The proportions are balanced, making the plant suitable for placement on sideboards, windowsills, or office desks where a touch of greenery is required to soften architectural lines.

The download is a 4.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is best managed by placing it within a dedicated layer or tag to toggle visibility during heavy modelling phases. Users should ensure the model scale is appropriate for their specific scene before final placement. For rendering, the foliage geometry can be further detailed with high-resolution textures, while the terracotta material can be adjusted using standard PBR workflows to achieve optimal light interaction and depth in the final output.

This potted grass is ideal for adding organic detail to residential living rooms, contemporary office lobbies, or hotel reception areas. It pairs well with minimalist and rustic interior styles, effectively bridging the gap between hard surfaces and natural elements. Professionals often search for this type of asset when populating architectural visualisations, staging interior design projects, or creating detailed floor plans that require realistic, low-maintenance vegetation. It serves as an excellent filler for shelf units, console tables, and decorative alcoves.
