About this asset

This pair of indoor potted palms for SketchUp features realistic foliage and weathered concrete planters for interior styling. This set includes two indoor palm plants of varying heights, each housed in a cylindrical, weathered concrete-style planter. The foliage exhibits a cascading, feathery structure with deep green textures, capturing the natural droop of a mature palm. The planters have a textured, neutral grey finish that provides a grounding contrast to the vibrant green leaves. The overall proportions suggest these are intended for floor placement in living areas or lobbies, adding organic texture and height to a space without overwhelming the surrounding furniture or architectural elements.

The download is a 33.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these models are best handled as components to maintain file efficiency. Use the scale tool to adjust the overall height if necessary, though they are pre-scaled for standard interior use. Apply materials via the paint bucket tool to manage texture tiling or to integrate with specific render engine plugins like V-Ray or Enscape. Ensure the plant components are placed on a dedicated vegetation layer to easily toggle visibility during the modelling process, keeping the viewport responsive for large scenes.

These potted palms are versatile assets for residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, and contemporary office reception areas. They work well as corner fillers or flanking elements for doorways and large windows. Professionals searching for 'indoor greenery', 'potted palms', or 'decorative plants for interiors' will find these models useful for adding life to minimalist or industrial-style renders. They pair effectively with mid-century modern furniture or raw concrete interior finishes, providing the necessary organic softness to balance out hard architectural lines in commercial and domestic projects.
