About this asset

This potted fan palm SketchUp model features vibrant green fronds set within a textured, round woven rattan basket container. The plant is a fan palm, characterised by its distinctive circular, radiating leaf structure. The foliage exhibits a natural gradient of bright to deep green tones, providing a realistic appearance for interior visualisation. It is housed in a spherical, hand-woven rattan basket that adds a tactile, organic element to the design. The proportions are balanced, making the plant suitable for placement on floors or low plinths. This asset is a singular, high-quality botanical component, providing a clean geometry that maintains visual fidelity in close-up architectural renders.

The download is a 73.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

To integrate this plant into a SketchUp scene, import the component and place it using the move and rotate tools to suit the interior composition. Scale the object to match the specific project dimensions if required. Apply high-resolution texture maps to the leaves to enhance realism during rendering. Ensure the plant is placed on a dedicated layer to manage scene complexity effectively and use a proxy if the file size impacts viewport performance during final staging.

This fan palm is ideal for residential living rooms, hotel lobbies, or modern office breakout spaces requiring soft, natural accents. It pairs well with minimalist or contemporary furniture, adding life to neutral palettes. Professionals should look for this asset when needing to populate interior scenes with realistic greenery to improve the atmosphere of a space. It is particularly effective for staging in high-end residential projects or commercial reception areas where a touch of organic texture is needed to ground the architectural design.
