About this asset

This collection of six potted bonsai trees for SketchUp features varied miniature tree forms with detailed foliage and textures. This set includes six distinct miniature tree specimens, each curated for its unique sculptural form and branching structure. The collection features a variety of leaf densities and trunk textures, ranging from light green needle-like foliage to broader, layered canopies. Each tree is housed in a traditional ceramic or stone planter, with some compositions incorporating small decorative rocks or moss-covered soil textures. The proportions are varied, providing a mix of tall, windswept silhouettes and dense, rounded shapes, suitable for adding organic, high-detail elements to interior scenes without overwhelming the space.

The download is a 264 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 6 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When working in SketchUp, load these assets as independent components to maintain performance. Use the scale tool to adjust individual sizes to suit your scene requirements. Because these models are high-detail, consider placing them on a dedicated layer or tag to toggle visibility during active modelling. Apply proxy objects if necessary for larger scenes to keep the viewport responsive, and ensure textures are mapped correctly if you are rendering with an external plugin or engine.

These bonsai trees are ideal for enhancing residential living rooms, high-end hotel lobbies, or serene office reception areas. They pair well with minimalist or Japanese-inspired furniture, such as low-profile sideboards, console tables, or meditative seating areas. Professionals often use these assets to introduce organic warmth and focal interest into neutral architectural renders, especially in projects requiring a touch of nature or Zen-like atmosphere.
